Description

These delicious tender and juicy Asian Glazed Meatballs are super simple to make. Serve as an appetizer or add rice to make it a meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/3 cup sliced green onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 tsp. fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup almond flour

Asian Glaze

  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 3/4 cup gluten-free Sun Luck Hoisin Sauce ( San-J brand GF Hoisin Sauce is not as tasty FYI try to stick with the Sun Luck Gluten-Free version – buy the tall 16.oz jar )
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • 3tsp. sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch

sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, lightly grease and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl combine all of your meatball ingredients and mix until thoroughly combined. Shape into 2 inch balls and place on greased baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes or until no longer pink on the inside.
  4. While meatballs are baking, combine all of the asian glaze ingredients into a medium saucepan. Continually stir on low heat for five minutes until sauce starts to gently boil and thicken. Once meatballs are done baking dip each meatball into the sauce with a toothpick or pour the glaze over the meatballs.
  5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and enjoy!
