The BEST Chocolate Banana Bread! Incredibly rich, moist, tender, and brimming with flavor. Topped with a dangerously delicious Cinnamon Crumble Topping. A healthy banana bread with no refined sugar and is very easy to make!

Chocolate Cinnamon Banana Bread
- 1 cup Bobs Red Mill Gluten Free 1 to 1 Flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tbsp. cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup + 2 tbsp. coconut sugar ( I used Wholesome Brand ) Make sure to break up sugar clumps before measuring.
- 1 cage free egg
- 2 large mashed bananas ( very ripe )
- 1/3 cup grapeseed oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cashew milk ( I use Silk brand ) available at Walmart and Natural Grocers
Cinnamon Crumble Topping
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup Bobs Red Mill gluten free 1 to 1 flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 4 tbsp. cold dairy free butter. ( I used Melts butter brand )
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Line a 9×5 ( 2 1/2 inch depth ) bread pan with parchment paper
Cinnamon Crumble Topping ( make first )
- In a medium bowl mix coconut sugar, flour, and cinnamon until thoroughly combined.
- Now add in your cold butter. Using a fork work it through the sugar mix until it’s a fine crumbly texture. Set aside.
Chocolate Cinnamon Banana Bread
- In a large bowl add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix together until combined.
- Add coconut sugar and mix again. ( Make sure to break up sugar clumps before measuring. )
- Make a well in the center of the flour mix and add egg, vanilla, grapeseed oil, cashew milk, and mashed bananas… mix and combine all together until fully combined and it becomes like batter consistency.
- Pour batter into your prepared bread pan.
- Gently sprinkle cinnamon crumble on top of the bread and place in the oven.
- Bake for 50 minutes.
- Check with a toothpick when done
- Let cool a couple hours.
