These Fudgy Sweet Potato Brownies are incredibly moist, dense, gooey and downright delicious. I ended up using Farmers Market Organic Sweet Potato Puree and it just took it to that next level of yum. I started off making these dairy free but when I tested them with Hershey’s Special Dark Chocolate Chips it was just too delicious to pass up. Good news though, if your dairy free I have added a dairy free option, which is still super delicious.


  • 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons Namaste Foods Perfect Flour Blend
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Organic Canned Sweet Potato Puree – I used ( Farmer’s Market ) Brand … Usually you can find in the health food isle at grocery stores
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs room temp
  • 1 1/2 sticks = 3/4 cup Earth Balance Butter melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips for dairy free use ( Enjoy Life Chocolate Chip ) brand

Chocolate Glaze

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips use ( Enjoy Life ) Brand for Dairy Free
  • 6 tsp coconut milk


  1. Preheat oven to 350° Spray a 9 inch pie dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl add your flour, cocoa, and baking soda. Sift dry ingredients together and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl add your eggs, vanilla, sweet potato, Brown sugar, and sugar. Blend together.
  4. Next add in your melted butter and blend again until creamy and fluffy.
  5. Now slowly add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients using a spatula or whisk and mix thoroughly ( DO NOT BLEND with a mixer , Namaste’s Perfect Flour Blend thickens fast when blended. If you blend it will change the consistency of the batter and the recipe may not turn out. )
  6. Next, gently fold in your chocolate chips.
  7. Pour your batter into your greased pie dish.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Check with toothpick
  1. In a small microwave safe bowl add your 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and 3 teaspoons of coconut milk. Microwave for 20 seconds then stir, microwave for another 20 seconds and stir again. If not melted at this point, microwave just a few more seconds. Now add in your last 3 teaspoons of coconut milk and stir again.
  2. Spread over the top of your brownies and let set. Once set slice brownies and serve.
  3. Enjoy!
