Refreshing, tart, and sugar-free this Strawberry Margarita is made from scratch and has only a few simple ingredients.



Strawberry Margarita

  • 10 ounces ( weighed on a scale ) fresh chopped strawberries
  • 1 cup fresh squeezed orange
  • 3/4 cup Lakanto monkfruit 
  • 1 tbsp. fresh squeezed Lime
  • 2 ounces tequila


Strawberry Margarita

  1. Place chopped strawberries in a medium sauce pan and add fresh squeezed orange juice, and monkfruit.
  2. Bring to a boil then turn heat down to a low simmer and cook for 5 minutes until strawberries are soft and falling apart.
  3. Next, start mashing the strawberries down for another 5 minutes while still on a low simmer. You want the strawberries to be completely broken down into a puree like consistency. ( I just used a simple potato masher for this step )
  4. Remove from heat and let cool.
  5. Strain puree through a sieve.
  6. Pour half of the strawberry juice into cocktail shaker with lime juice, tequila, and ice. Shake vigorously until thoroughly combined and pour into margarita glass to enjoy.

*Use the remaining strawberry juice for a second serving.
