Is Tequila Gluten-Free?
Tequila if made in it’s traditional way from blue agave plant would be naturally gluten free. However there are some cheaper brands out there called ” mixto ” which contain gluten. Some of the brands that we like that are gluten free are :
Casamigos ( which we used in this recipe )
Milagro
Cabo Wabo
Casa Noble
Don Julio
1800 Tequila
These are just some of the many gluten-free brands out there. So if you want to enjoy carefree, be sure to always check your labels.

Description
Refreshing, tart, and sugar-free this Strawberry Margarita is made from scratch and has only a few simple ingredients.
Ingredients
Strawberry Margarita
- 10 ounces ( weighed on a scale ) fresh chopped strawberries
- 1 cup fresh squeezed orange
- 3/4 cup Lakanto monkfruit
- 1 tbsp. fresh squeezed Lime
- 2 ounces tequila
Instructions
Strawberry Margarita
- Place chopped strawberries in a medium sauce pan and add fresh squeezed orange juice, and monkfruit.
- Bring to a boil then turn heat down to a low simmer and cook for 5 minutes until strawberries are soft and falling apart.
- Next, start mashing the strawberries down for another 5 minutes while still on a low simmer. You want the strawberries to be completely broken down into a puree like consistency. ( I just used a simple potato masher for this step )
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Strain puree through a sieve.
- Pour half of the strawberry juice into cocktail shaker with lime juice, tequila, and ice. Shake vigorously until thoroughly combined and pour into margarita glass to enjoy.
*Use the remaining strawberry juice for a second serving.
