Description

Pumpkin Spice Donuts are a easy one bowl recipe. Incredibly moist , fluffy, and coated in a warm cinnamon and sugar layer. The perfect fall breakfast, brunch, or dessert!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 – 1/2 cups Namaste Foods Spice Cake Mix ( *you will not be using the whole box- make sure to measure )
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup organic canned pumpkin puree ( not canned pumpkin pie mix )
  • 1/4 cup grapeseed oil
  • 2 eggs ( room temperature )

Cinnamon and Sugar Coating

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons melted Earth Balance Butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease donut pan and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl add spice cake mix, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, canned pumpkin puree, oil, and eggs.
  4. Mix with a spatula until batter is thoroughly combined and smooth.
  5. Pipe batter into donut cavities ( or use a large cookie scoop to scoop batter into donut cavities ).
  6. Place in the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. ( Mine were done in 10 minutes. Don’t over bake- the donuts will become rubbery…. oven temps may vary – keep an eye and check with a toothpick )
  7. Let cool completely before coating in cinnamon and sugar layer.

Cinnamon and Sugar Coating

  1. In a small bowl mix sugar and cinnamon – set aside.
  2. In a small dish melt butter.
  3. Once donuts have completely cooled, lightly brush each donut with melted butter and roll into cinnamon and sugar mixture.
  4. Enjoy!

Made these this morning, but made them in little muffin cups (silicone) as I didn’t have a donut pan. They were outstanding…even without the topping!!! Just delicious and a recipe to make over and over again. Thank you for helping us on our quest for good health without gluten and dairy.

About Me

A passionate gluten-free and dairy-free food blogger with a fierce love for baking! I’ve been a food blogger for over 5 years now and I adore it. My gluten-free and dairy-free journey began about 9 years ago. After going through some really difficult health obstacles I found out I was sensitive to gluten and dairy. Initially it was very tough. I had no clue what I could eat, and I mourned my regular diet like it was the death of me.
