Pear Cocktail

Spiced Vanilla Pear Vodka Fizz

It’s time to infuse some fall spice into your life!! We are off to a running head start and commencing the season with this fancy Spiced Vanilla Pear Vodka Fizz and these Easy Pumpkin Spiced Donuts. Just look how pretty!

This heart-warming pear cocktail perfectly pairs vanilla, spices, and prosecco, while the pear adds a delicious depth of fall flavor. Slightly bubbly with a splash of lemon adds a refreshing tart taste. Garnish with cinnamon, rosemary, a slice of pear, and a star anise for a glamorous exotic feel!

An Elegant Touch

We have garnished the rim with glimmering vanilla bean sugar for an elegant touch. It couples nicely with the vanilla vodka and spices in this festive flavored pear cocktail. This step is of course optional. If you decide not to rim the glass, you will still capture all the sweetness and taste it has to offer. This drink stands alone!

To make the sugar rim –

Combine a 1/2 cup of sugar and seeds of 1 vanilla bean in a medium bowl. Then you will rub the vanilla beans into the sugar using your fingers until thoroughly combined. Transfer sugar to a small plate for dipping.

Buon Appetito!!

Tips For Sips

  • Make sure that your pear is ripe and soft. If your pear is hard, it wont have as much sweetness and it wont blend up very well. You will be left with hard chunks in the puree. No Bueno!
  • You do not have to refrigerate the pear puree. You can serve right away without refrigeration- it just won’t be chilled. I prefer not to add ice to this cocktail as I feel it takes away from the feel and taste of the drink.
  • This drink can be substituted with regular vodka. I would just add another teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • Make sure to chill your bottle of Prosecco beforehand.

You Will Need

  • A 10 ounce cocktail glass
  • A cocktail shaker
  • 1 – ripe soft pear chopped into small slices ( peeled and core removed )
  • A bottle of Prosecco Sparkling White Wine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 – star anise
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • tiny dash of nutmeg (very tiny )
  • 5 tablespoons Tres Agaves Agave Nectar Sweetener ( you can purchase online or in a liquor store )
  • 2 ounces vanilla vodka
  • 1 tablespoon fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar ( optional if you want vanilla bean sugar rim )
  • 1 vanilla bean ( optional if you want vanilla bean sugar rim )
